About

Twenty-two years alongside people in difficulty.

A fully qualified psychotherapist, accredited by the BACP and registered with the UKCP — offering therapy in English, Arabic and Somali.

I am a fully qualified Counselling Psychotherapist working in West London. I provide counselling and psychotherapy for individual adults, group therapy, and psycho-education groups for organisations — on both a short-term and longer-term basis.

I have over ten years’ practical experience as a counsellor and twenty-two years’ experience overall, working with clients across a wide range of issues and from many different cultural backgrounds. I am able to offer therapy in Arabic, English and Somali, and I work with all three languages equally.

I also offer therapy and clinical supervision for trainee students and qualified counsellors.

A personal note

Why this work matters to me

My understanding of life has been drawn from living and moving around the world. I came to the UK having fled a war zone and lived through many losses — and from that experience I learned to meet life with openness, understanding, and a deep respect for difference.

I have worked with diversity across many cultures, and I work within the BACP Ethical Framework. More than any qualification, it’s this lived understanding of loss, displacement and starting again that shapes how I sit with the people I work with.
